Scholarship Recipient Offers Thanks Dear Brothers and Sisters of the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry: It has been an honor and a privilege for me to be a recipient of the scholarships you have awarded me for the past two years to attend St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Mo. My name is Hugo Villagrana and I have been married to Norma Villagrana for 18 years. We have two children: Mariana, 13 and Luis Fernando, 11. Our family arrived in the United States from Mexico, in 2002. The first six years I had the privilege to serve as local pastor to the Hispanic communities in Springfield and Monett, Mo. The past two years I have served as student co-pastor with my wife at Hyde Valley and South Park United Methodist Churches in St. Joseph, Missouri (the Pony Express District). |
