Remittance for Treasurers

Your congregation has faithfully remitted their tithes and offerings. Great! Now what?

To submit money for apportionments, churchwide Special Sundays, The Advance, conference benevolences, special appeals and World Service Special Gifts, send a check for the combined total for all giving channels to your annual conference treasurer with the remittance form designating the dollar amounts being submitted to each.

Why does the money go through the annual conference treasurer?

In order for your local church to receive “credit” for remitting their apportionments or other giving opportunities, the money must follow through the annual conference office. From there, the annual conference treasurer submits the funds to the General Council on Finance and Administration, where the annual conference is given “credit” for its contribution.
