World Service Special Gifts - Conference Remittance

The World Service Special Gifts are considered "second-mile giving" in the connectional system of The United Methodist Church. As of April 30, 2012, the most recent financial data available, all World Service Special Gifts had received $65,022. 

In 2011 $486,409 was remitted, in 2010 $611,785 was remitted, in 2009, $1,324,486 was remitted and in 2008, $1,140,738 was remitted.

World Service Special Gifts is a special channel of designated support for approved projects of general church agencies not eligible for Advance gifts that offer you the opportunity to personalize your love and concern in a very special way.

Examples of World Service Specials Gifts are the Anti-Gambling Initiative, Africa University Endowment Fund and the Methodist Global Education Fund. After meeting the first mile giving of the apportioned funds, World Service Special Gifts are an integral way to support causes that are close to your heart.  Thank you!
