The Advance - Conference Remittance

The Advance is considered a "second-mile giving" in the connectional system of The United Methodist Church. As of December 31, 2011, the most recent financial data available, The Advance had recevied $50,423,282. 

In 2010, $79,230,882 was remitted, in 2009, 34,628,229 was remitted, in 2008, $43,253,375 was remitted, and in 2007, $37,531,059 was remitted.

Gifts to The Advance are designated by the donor to specific approved projects of the General Board of Global Ministries.  One hundred percent  of all Advance giving goes to the chosen mission project or ministry.
