Special Sundays - World Communion Sunday - Fund Status

World Communion Sunday is one of the six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. Each church is encouraged to celebrate the Special Sundays. As of May 31, 2009, the most recent financial data available, the World Communion Sunday offering had received $67,695.

 In 2008, $1,028,865 was remitted, in 2007, $1,205,022 was remitted, in 2006, $1,100,191 was remitted and in 2005, $937,004 was remitted.

World Communion Sunday provides scholarships for U.S. racial- and ethnic-minority students and international students, on both undergraduate and graduate levels.
