One Great Hour of Sharing is one of the six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. Each church is encouraged to celebrate the Special Sundays. As of May 31, 2008, the most recent financial data available, the One Great Hour of Sharing offering had received $2,030,024. In 2007, $3,372,268 was given to the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. In 2006, $3,597,350 was remitted to the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. $3,277,107 was remitted in 2005.

One Great Hour of Sharing enables the United Methodist Committee on Relief to reach out through worldwide ministries of food, shelter, health and peace.
