![]() Question: What do the following communities in Wisconsin have in common? Prairie du Chien, Milwaukee, Ladysmith, Adams County, Siren, Randolph, Fond du Lac, Richland County, Stoughton, Viola. Answer: Since 1998, persons in these communities have been assisted with funds from the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) in rebuilding their lives following the devastation of natural forces...wind, hail, floods and fire. On the fourth Sunday in Lent, United Methodists come together for One Great Hour of Sharing. The special offering enables UMCOR to keep its promise that 100 percent of your designated gifts goes entirely to specific causes. One Great Hour of Sharing means UMCOR will provide hands-on care for persons caught in the effects of storms, war, disaster and disease. Often UMCOR is the first to arrive on the scene and the last to leave. UMCOR's ministry is all over God’s wonderful world. We have seen the immediate results of UMCOR's assistance in our conference. Please, as you worship, make it One Great Hour of Sharing—and for sharing as you share the goodness of life with those who hurt. Thank you! --The Rev. Jane Follmer Zekoff, former director of connectional ministries, Wisconsin Conference
