Human Relations Day is one of the six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. Each church is encouraged to celebrate the Special Sundays. As of April 30, 2012, the most recent financial data available, the Human Relations Day offering had received $339,212.
In 2011, $548,840 was remitted, in 2010, $500,281 was remitted, in 2009, $572,669 was remitted and in 2008, $689,047 was remitted.
Human Relations Day strengthens United Methodist outreach to communities in the United States and Puerto Rico, encouraging social justice and work with at-risk youth.
