The General Administration Fund is one of seven apportionments of The United Methodist Church. It is apportioned among the 63 annual conferences in the United States. As of December 31, 2011, the most recent financial data available, the General Administration Fund had received $7,485,965. This represents 84.19% of our goal amount of $8,891,512 for 2011.
In 2010 $7,471,511 was remited, in 2009, $7,422,207 was remitted, in 2008, $6,345,680 was remitted, and in 2007, $6,195,908 was remitted.
The General Administration Fund apportionment is vital to General Conference. Without this apportionment money, delegates could not come together and pave the way for the future of The United Methodist Church. Also, documenting history and safeguading United Methodist archives ensures that future generations will have the opportunity to learn about our rich history. It takes money and recommitment to make this happen. It takes you.
Your congregation’s 100-percent support of the General Administration Fund is critical. Lead the way in your congregation. Please give generously and thoughtfully to the General Administration Fund. Thank you!
