  • Great Debate on Black Colleges
When I heard about the “Great Debaters,” I thought of Nathanael’s question in John 1:46, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” A similar question could have been asked about Marshall, Texas, home of Wiley College, a historically Black United Methodist school.

In the 1930s, Wiley teacher Melvin Tolson believed his fledgling debate team could beat forensic powerhouses, and he was right. Once you’ve seen the movie about “The Little College Debate Team That Could,” you’ll understand the vital role of United Methodism’s 11 historically Black colleges and universities. When you support the Black College Fund, you continue the legacy of Wiley and other life-changing institutions.

  • Instruments of Change
This video shows how historically black colleges and universities supported by the Black College Fund are changing the world and future.  Your genorosity to the Black College Fund enables students of color to achieve higher education in surroundings that enrigh their heritage.
